Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Roll the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

- Cool the cookies completely on a wire rack.
- For frosting: Combine powdered sugar, milk, and peppermint extract in a bowl and mix until smooth.
- Frost the cooled cookies and top with crushed candy canes.
