Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 8 slices whole wheat bread or any preferred bread
Ham
  • 8 ounces sliced ham deli-style
Cheese
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese or any preferred cheese
Condiments
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise or mustard, to taste
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce for crunch
  • 1 medium tomato sliced

Method
 

Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Lay out 4 slices of bread on a clean cutting board.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each slice of bread.
  3. Layer 2 ounces of sliced ham on top of 4 slices of bread.
  4. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the ham.
  5. Top with a leaf of romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato.
  6. Place the remaining slices of bread on top to complete the sandwiches.
  7. Cut each sandwich in half diagonally and serve on a plate.
