  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth or water
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Method
 

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
Adding Potatoes
  1. Stir in the diced potatoes, beef broth, salt, black pepper, paprika, and thyme.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
