  • 3 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar packed
Optional Add-ins
  • 0.5 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 0.5 cups chocolate chips optional

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, sour cream, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in any optional add-ins like walnuts or chocolate chips.
Bake the Bread
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
