Ingredients
  

Beans
  • 2 cups dried navy beans soaked overnight
Sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetables
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
Optional
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak the navy beans in water overnight, then drain and rinse them.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ketchup, water, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Place the soaked beans, diced onion, minced garlic, and optional bacon in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the sauce mixture over the beans and stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the beans are tender.
