  • 1 pound fresh asparagus trimmed
Cheese and Seasoning
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese freshly grated preferred
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the trimmed asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Baking
  1. Spread the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the asparagus.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the cheese is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
