Ingredients
  

Fritter Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 cup milk
Apples
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced
Frying
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add the beaten egg and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Add Apples
  1. Fold in the diced apples into the batter until evenly distributed.
Heat the Oil
  1. In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Fritters
  1. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying a few at a time until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  2. Remove fritters and drain on paper towels.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Serve
  1. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters and serve immediately.
