Ingredients
  

Cookie Base
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Decorations
  • 1 cup red sprinkles
  • 1 cup white sprinkles
  • 1 cup blue sprinkles
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Cookie Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Shape and Bake
  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll into balls.
  2. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  3. Flatten each ball slightly and decorate with red, white, and blue sprinkles and white chocolate chips.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
