Description

A creamy Italian pasta dish combining tender chicken, mushrooms, and crispy bacon in a rich white wine sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fettuccine pasta
  • 4 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 bacon strips, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  • Cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In same pan, cook chicken until golden. Remove.
  • Sauté mushrooms and garlic until tender.
  • Add wine, simmer 2 minutes.
  • Stir in cream and parmesan. Simmer until thickened.
  • Return chicken and bacon. Toss with pasta.
  • Garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated parmesan for best results
  • Can substitute wine with chicken broth
  • Al dente pasta works best
