Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the garlic sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Create the creamy sauce: Lower the heat and add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the creamy garlic sauce. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over rice, pasta, or vegetables.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or a lighter cream option.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a bit more chicken broth to reach your desired consistency.
- You can add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor.
