Description
A perfectly balanced sweet-and-savory salmon dish where honey, lime, and garlic butter create a glaze that caramelizes beautifully during baking, resulting in a flaky, moist, and flavorful fish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 limes (juice and zest)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, minced garlic, lime juice, and lime zest.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, season with salt and pepper. Pour the honey-lime mixture over the salmon.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork, basting once halfway through.
Notes
- Choose center-cut salmon fillets of equal thickness for even cooking
- For extra flavor, marinate salmon in the sauce for 30 minutes before baking
- Don’t overcook – salmon should be slightly translucent in the center when done
