- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon each of fresh thyme, rosemary, and parsley
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt butter and cook chicken until golden, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add herbs and cream, simmer for 2 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook basmati rice according to package instructions.
- Return chicken to the pan, add broth, and simmer for 10 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
Notes
- For best results, bring chicken to room temperature before cooking
- Fresh herbs can be substituted with dried (use 1 teaspoon dried for each tablespoon fresh)
- Sauce can be made ahead and reheated gently
