Description

A luxuriously creamy chicken dish where tender breast meat meets aromatic herbs and perfectly cooked basmati rice, creating a restaurant-worthy meal right at home.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon each of fresh thyme, rosemary, and parsley
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt butter and cook chicken until golden, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add herbs and cream, simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook basmati rice according to package instructions.
  • Return chicken to the pan, add broth, and simmer for 10 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.

Notes

  • For best results, bring chicken to room temperature before cooking
  • Fresh herbs can be substituted with dried (use 1 teaspoon dried for each tablespoon fresh)
  • Sauce can be made ahead and reheated gently
