A festive quick bread combining rich chocolate and cool peppermint, perfect for holiday gatherings or winter treats.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix dry ingredients in one bowl, wet ingredients in another.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures until just blended.
- Fold in chocolate chips and 1/4 cup candy canes.
- Pour into prepared pan, sprinkle remaining candy canes on top.
- Bake 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- Store in airtight container for up to 5 days
- Wrap tightly to freeze for up to 3 months
